Monitors -easily monitors systems, from 300W to 50 kW commercial scale plants.

Validates - sustainability, charge patterns, system functionality and includes an early warning mechanism so that system failure can be avoided.

Expandable - logs data from environmental sensors providing deeper analysis and forecasting.

Manages - many tasks including active grid management.

Conserves - minimizes spilled and wasted solar power and maximize use of solar power.

Forecasts - the gmForecast command makes use of statistical data and can calculate expected day-ahead production, consumption and generation requirements. The desired day of the week, as well as weather outlook, may also be selected for other than day ahead forecasting. For example, a weekend cabin's generation requirements for a weekend visit can be calculated on a Wednesday. The output is available in both text and CVS formatted data, suitable for use by most spreadsheet programs.

Statistics - gmStatistics accumulates statistical data for the components in the system, stored as .xml format. Accumulated statistics include:

  • Charge controller solar production by time of day, relative humidity and weather outlook (with optional weather station).
  • Inverter load, including sold power by time of day, day of week and outdoor temperature (with optional weather station).
  • Temperature trend for hour-to-hour outdoor temperature forecasting.

greenMonitor™ Software – component Highlights

gmEvents - advanced GUI editor for system events . The gmEvents command provides a convenient interface for configuring system events and actions. Each device that supports event triggering is displayed on the main GUI interface and events may be viewed by selecting the device. Once selected, events for that specific device may be added, deleted, made inactive or modified by selecting the event itself.

gmExercise - the gmExercise command is useful with grid-interactive systems preventing Sulfation caused by consistent undercharging in a grid-interactive system, while allowing the “SellRE” value to be set low enough to prevent excessive wear-and-tear on the batteries, and possible loss of life expectancy.

gmManage - the gmManage command performs advanced grid management for grid-interactive systems. It allows the system owner to maximize renewable energy usage and minimize grid energy usage.

gmMate – the gmMate command is a flexible tool for managing and monitoring an OutBack Power Technologies installation. The interface is based on the same four line, 20 character LCD display as the actual OutBack Power Technologies Mate , complete with four softkeys, and “AC” and “Inv” button. Additional capabilities, such as the “M” (memory) and “R” (recall) buttons extend gmMate, providing additional features

gmMonitor - the gmMonitor command provides a full system view of the renewable energy system, showing all available components in a single window

Quick View - the gmQuickView command provides a “system-at-a-glance” display of the monitored system using analogue dials and a strip chart for displaying the most recent 24 hours of operation.

gmServer - the gmServer command creates an advanced network server connection between OutBack Power Technologies Mate , Modbus- based renewable energy equipment and the Internet. In addition to providing network access to the Mate , the gmServer command also maintains statistics about the operation of the renewable energy system. These statistics include the amount of power generated or consumed by each component, operating mode, warnings and errors, runtime data, and other values of interest
